1- FULL CLOSED ENDOSCOPIC DISC HERNIA OPERATION :Full closed endoscopic disc hernia operation (FCEDHO) is also known as 'artroscopic disc hernia operation' can be applied to all patients who are candidates for disc hernia operation. It is widely used worldwide however only few centers in our country applies this method.USA, Korea and Germany are the first countries that this technique was started to be used and improved.Operation can be accomplished by two different techniques.Both can be applied according to the patients' need in our center.The surgery requires special endoscopic surgical instruments and the surgeon who will apply this method should have special education and international certificate.Our hospital is one of the very few centers in Turkey that perform this high tech procedure.Advantages: The main advantage is that the operation is carried out from a 0.5 cm incision and direct visualisation and extraction of the hernia is carried out tru the endoscopic system.As no manuplation is done in muscle, ligament and bone tissues, -no post op pain occurs -post-operative recovery period is so short. Patient can get up 3 hours after the operation, discharged at the following day and can go back to sitting jobs 3 days after the operation. -chronic back pains seen after microsurgery due to adhesion of the muscles to the spinal cord membrane at the places where bone extraction was done will not be seen after FCEDHO. - Posterolateral transforaminal approach can be done under local anesthesia which is a great advantage for the patients who are carrying high anesthesic risks due to chronic illnesses an be applied safely to recurrent cases after microsurgery.2- stem Cell Therapy for Back Pain and herniated disc :How Stem Cells Can Treat Lumbar Discs ?our center uses stem cells to treat back pain due to degenerative disc disease (DDD) as well as facet joint pain .Stem cell treatment of degenerative disc disease is a minimally-invasive, out-patient procedure where your own adult stem cells are harvested and injected into the damaged disc to potentially restore structure (disc height), hydration and function, and minimize pain.
