The first open hearth surgery was performed successfully in Avrupa Safak Hospital in Gaziosmanpasa. Coronary by-pass and cardiac valve operations and all kinds of interventions related to open hearth surgeries are presented under the last technological conditions. Since the very first day, annually we practice averagely 1600 cardiovascular surgeries, open and closed hearth surgeries, artery operations, peripheral vein operations. Our 3 operation rooms and 16 bed intensive care unit have the last technological medical devices as a modern centre. Our team publish 15-20 academic articles every year and some of them are presented national and international congresses
