Serhat Yalçın

Born in Gölcük in 1962, Prof. Dr. Serhat YALÇIN graduated from Haydarpaşa High School in 1979, and subsequently from the Faculty of Dentistry, İstanbul University, in 1984. He worked in the Maxillofacial Surgery department of Queen Mary’s University Hospital, London, for 1 year between 1989 and 1990. He assumed the Doctor of Medical Dentistry title in 1990. Having become an associate professor in 1993 and a professor in 1999, Serhat YALÇIN’s fields of interest include Dental Implantology, Distraction, Temporomandibular Joint Diseases and Orthognathic Surgery. He is presently an academician of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Faculty of Dentistry, İstanbul University, and he is the editor of numerous local and foreign scientific journals.
