İ. Teoman BENLİ

He was born in Isparta in 1963. Having graduated from Hacettepe University, Medicine Faculty in 1968, he completed his obligatory service. He was trained in spinal surgery for 1 year at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in the United States of America in Dallas in 1992. Additionally, he participated in courses in Seoul, South Korea, in Paris, Nice and Berk Surmare, France, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in New York and Detroit, the USA, in Naples, Italy, Lugano and Zurich, Switzerland, in Madrid, Spain about Spinal Surgery and Arthroplasty and worked in Paris and Montpellier, France and Detroit Port Huron, the USA for short whiles as observer. He assumed the title of associate professor in Orthopedics and Traumatology at İstanbul University, Medicine Faculty in 1995. He was appointed to the professor staff of Ufuk University Medicine Faculty in 2006. He served as the Deputy Dean of the Medicine Faculty at the same university for four and a half years and as the Chief Physician of Dr. Rıdvan Ege Hospital. He allowed the unprinted issues of the Journal of Turkish Spinal Surgery – JTSS, which had a 5-year break in its publication life, to be published in 2005 and the journal to be published since then. He served as the assistant editor between 2005 and 2011 and has been serving as the editor for the last 5 years. Prof. Dr. İ. Teoman Benli has 1 English and approximately 100 Turkish-English articles in A group foreign journals in the 14th SCO main list and in journals in journals being published in Turkey, respectively. He also has declarations and verbal presentations in 36 International congresses and in approximately 100 National congresses and symposiums. He has 12 books, 8 of which is scientific and 4 of which are philosophic. He has been a member of the editorial board of “Clinical Orthopedics” journal since 2007 and of the “Spine” journal since 2010. He served as the President of TOTEK Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialization Competence Examination Commission.
