Panoramic roentgenogram
The Dental Clinic of the Turkiye Hospital utilizes all state-of-the-art devices and modern laboratory equipment in diagnosis of dental and oral health problems. Among them are the panoramic roentgen devices, which shows the entire jaw in addition to the tooth/teeth, where there is a problem, on a panoramic view. Thus, originating from the problem at a particular localization, the possible jaw problems can be identified.

Oral cavity is assessed in detail with an intra-oral camera during a complete examination. It is as if the patient has a tour in her/his oral cavity. This tiny camera photographs each tooth in the oral cavity and images are transferred to a monitor, where the patient is also looking at. Thus, the patient will have the opportunity to know oral cavity in detail and the dental problem is well understood by the patient.

When oral cavity is examined with regards to the zone the patient is complaining about, it is possible to visualized various intra-oral pathologies, lesions, broken filling materials and teeth, various gingival problems, caries and other pathologies, which can be difficult to identify with inspection.

Orthodontists deal with malocclusions (improper bites), tooth irregularity and jaw anomalies in children and adults. Underlying cause is identified and a solution is generated.

In this field, usually following problems are observed:

  • Narrow jaw
  • Malocclusion (improper bite)
  • Lower jaw recession,
  • All problems secondary to structural disorders.

Periodontologists deal with all diseases of gingival and peri-gingival tissues. Periodontological problems are based on two conditions:

  • Gingival recession
  • Gingival inflammation

Underlying causes, such as vitamin deficiencies, nutritional factors and microbial agents, are identified and eliminated with appropriate therapeutic approaches.
Here, oral hygiene is very important. In addition to necessary treatment, patients are informed by our dentists about the oral hygiene.

Prosthesis enables eliminating problems originating from tooth losses.  For patients with missing teeth, fixed and mobile dentures are used in the light of most recent advances in this field.

In this regards:

  • Oral structure and personal appearance can be changed with almost perfect porcelain coating for patients who have aesthetic disorders.
  • Porcelain prosthesis is used, which is made from impress-crown and cannot be differentiated from the native tooth.
  • Fixed crown - bridge applications and mobile prosthesis (modern - conventional) are also used.

Artificial fixed tooth can be implanted to patients, who have no tooth in the oral cavity, thanks to the implantology, which achieved tremendous advances recently. This procedure involves implanting screws into the jaw bone. Implantology offers constant solutions for patients, who are using mobile dentures and prosthetic palate, and such patients enjoy not only an anesthetic appearance, but also presence of fixed teeth.

Surgery has a substantial role in the oral and dental health. Thus, invisible threats are eliminated, which may, possibly, lead to serious problems. Sometimes, the entire tooth or tooth fragments may stay embedded in jaw bone, while the patient is growing tooth or a tooth is extracted. This condition is usually faced in wisdom teeth.

Such embedded teeth, intra-oral cysts and simple and complicated jaw fractures are treated with surgical modalities. The operations are carried out under general anesthesia.
