Common diseases and treatments
Prostate hyperplasia constitutes one of the most substantial male-specific, age related health problems. It is seen 60 out of hundred males over the age of 50.
Prostate hyperplasia with this frequency means “benign” hyperplasia. Malignant hyperplasia implies the “prostate cancer”.
Early diagnosis has great importance in prostate disorders. Early diagnosis enables the success in treatment.
Following symptoms can be secondary to prostate hyperplasia; urinary frequency, difficulty in urination, sudden feeling of urination , slow and weak urine stream, urinary hesitancy, urine dripping.
With test and examinations based on these symptoms, prostate hyperplasia can be identified.
Solution: At the early stage and certain phases, medication may provide positive results. In advance stages and malignant hyperplasia, surgery is needed for treatment. Prostate hyperplasia surgeries are carried out with laparascopic method and the patient can return back to normal life in a short period of time.
Hematuria or blood in the urine is generally considered as a precursor of diseases such as kidney or bladder stone, tumor or inflammation of kidney.
After blood is identified in the urine, admitting to a physician with no time delay and identifying the cause of the bleeding using necessary analysis is required.
Solution: Location and cause of the bleeding can be identified and treated using endoscopic methods.
Kidney and urinary tract stones are major medical problems. Stones can lead to renal dysfunction, if they are not identified and treated timely.
Solution: At early stage, medication can provide positive outcomes. At advanced stages, stones are broken using shock waves, which are delivered outside the body (extracorporeal) or using endoscopic methods, and thus, they are excreted out the body. Anyone who passed a kidney stone has the risk of stone formation again. Re formation of the stones can be prevented by measures advised by the physician.
Infertility can occur related to various causes. Childhood and adolescence period diseases which are related to testes, sperm ducts and hormones can disrupt the sperm production and quality.
Parents should get their son’s testicles and their maturity (in later years) checked, and this examination has vital importance in detecting congenital problems.
Solution: The causes of male infertility are identified using examinations, sperm analysis and ultrasound examinations, and necessary treatments are carried out.
