Dr. Muna Adwa received her MBChB from the Faculty of Medicine, Mustansyria University in 1993. She qualified for the Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board of UK in 1999. In 2004, she became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists - UK. Prior to moving in UAE, Dr. Muna held posts in government hospitals in UK: as a Specialist Psychiatrist in Central and North West London Foundation Trust where she handled cases of early intervention in psychosis; in Crowther Market, Hammersmith and Fulham Mental Health NHS Trust where she handled cases of substance misuse; in Ealing Hospital where she practiced forensic psychiatry; in South Kensington and Chelsea Mental Health NHS Trust where she handled community psychiatry. She also had clinical attachments with UK-based hospitals such as Royal London Hospital - St. Clement's, Lambeth Hospital - South London and the Maudsley NHS Trust, Guys Hospital, Little Brooke Hospital, and Medway Maritime Hospital. In 2010, she moved to UAE and worked as a Specialist Psychiatrist in a large government hospital within the emirate. In the span of her practice, Dr. Muna has been involved in audit, research, publication, and teaching.
