Assistant Professor of Radiology Alan Alper Sag was born in the United States. He received his Medical Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, USA. He specializes in minimally-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to cancer. His specific interests include biopsy and non-surgical ablation treatments for liver, lung, kidney, and bone tumors, as well as angiographic chemoembolization and radioembolization treatments for liver tumors. He completed his subspecialty training in Interventional Oncology and Interventional Radiology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He is Board Certified both in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He holds active medical and surgical licenses in the United States. Dr. Sag has served as a staff attending physician at the Vehbi Koç Foundation Hospitals as well as full faculty member of the Koç University School of Medicine since 2014.
