Prof. Dr. Uğur Selek was born in 1973 in Afyon. He graduated from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in 1997. He completed his residency in same university in 2001 in the field of Radiation Oncology. From 2001 - 2003 he worked at Texas University M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Department of Radiation Oncology as a Clinical Fellow. First he completed the 3-Dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy Clinic Program and then in second year he completed Intensity Modulated and Stereotactic Radiotherapy Clinical Program. In 2003 he won an award at the "First Annual M.D. Anderson Radiation Oncology Fellow Research Award." In 2004 at Hacettepe University he received the title of Assistan Professor and then Professor in 2006. Since January 1, 2009 Prof. Dr. Selek has been a Faculty Member of Texas University M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Department of Radiation Oncology and Senior Vice President of Radiation Oncology at American Hospital.
