Bolukbasi was born in Izmir, Turkey, 1967. Recieved his M.D. title in medicine from the Uludag university in 1990 and did his internship in the same university hospital. After an obligatory service for Turkish Ministry of Health in Midyat as a GP in 1991, completed his residency requirement in neurology at the Karadeniz Technical and Ege Universities between Fall of 1991 and 1996. Then he worked at the Karadeniz Technical and Adnan Menderes Universities as a member of the faculty, in 2000 appointed as an associate professor of neurology at the latter university hospital. Completed his PhD. thesis on comparative neuroanatomy in 2004 and registered as a clinical neurophysiologist in 2011. During 2003-2015, worked as a practicing neurologist and consulting clinical neurophysiologist in several hospitals. Studied much on the clinical neurophysiology and animal experiments published a broad list of medical papers on both abroad and homeland. Bolukbasi appointed as a full professor of neurology at Istanbul Okan University Faculty of Medicine in 2015. Now, he is lecturing widely in Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Health Sciences and School of Physical Terapy. His research interests are peripheral neurology, pain and clinical neuroanatomy. He is a polyglot speaking english, french, spanish and russian.
