Dr. Aşkın Ali KORKMAZ, who was born on January 1st, 1967, completed Ankara University Medicine Faculty in 1991. He served at the Emergency Service of Düziçi State Hospital between 1991 and 1993 as a part of his obligatory service. He completed his specialization education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medicine Faculty, Cardiovascular Surgery Department between the years of 1993 and 1998. He later worked at Florence Nightingale Hospital between 1998 and 2006 as a specialist both in Pediatric and Adult Cardiovascular Surgery. In the meanwhile, he served as a specialist at OLV Hospital in Belgium in 2000 and 2001 and he reinforced his competence and experience especially in terms of minimal invasive cardiac surgery and mitral valve restoration. He served as a specialist at Sema Hospital Cardiovascular Surgery Department in 2006 and then served as an associate professor with the establishment of Fatih University. He assumed the title of Associate Professor in 2013 and contributed to the training of many local and foreign Cardiovascular surgeons in terms of minimal invasive cardiac surgery, mitral valve restoration and RF ablation. In 2016, he served as a consultant Cardiovascular Surgeon at Gence International Hospital in Azerbaijan. He started to serve at Okan University Hospital, Cardiovascular Surgery Department in September, 2016.
