Dr. Eralp Başer was born in Ankara, Turkey. He earned his medical doctor degree from Ankara University School of Medicine, Ankara, Turkey in 2004. He completed Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency in Başkent University School of Medicine, Ankara, Turkey in 2009. After completing 2 years of Government Duty in Sami Ulus Research and Training Hospital, he started Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship in Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Research and Training hospital in Ankara, Turkey. During this period, he personally attended and performed hundreds of gynecologic oncology operations for treating ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial and vulvar cancer. During this period, he also received training in Michigan University Department of Gynecologic Oncology (Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA) where he focused primarily on minimally invasive surgery (Laparoscopic and robotic surgery). He received his Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology degree in 2014. After completing the Gynecologic Oncology training, he worked in Adana Numune Training and Research hospital, where he conducted numerous laparoscopic and robotic gynecologic oncology operations. He started working in Liv Hospital Ulus, İstanbul, Turkey as a gynecologic oncologist in 2016. In February 2019, he started his private clinic (Başer Klinik) practice in Nişantaşı, Şişli, İstanbul. His primary research interest focuses on Human papillomavirus (HPV) related cervical diseases and minimally invasive gynecologic cancer treatments. He also performs open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery for treatment of gynecologic diseases such as uterine myoma (fibroids), ovarian cysts, endometriosis and genital prolapse. He has more than 100 medical reports and book chapters on his research topics. Dr.Başer is currently residing in İstanbul, Turkey. He is married and has two daughters.
