Dr. Azra Anis received her Bachelor Degree of Medicine and Surgery at Dow Medical College - Karachi University, Pakistan in 1984. She became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons - Glasgow, UK in 1996. In 2009, she became a fellow in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of Milan, Bicocca, Italy. Dr. Azra started her professional career in the UAE in 1984 and worked as a General Surgeon for 14 years. In 1998, she shifted to Vascular Surgery and worked for 16 years as a Vascular Surgeon in large government hospitals. To her credit, she has received trainings specific to her field in USA, Ireland, and Italy. Currently, she is a member of the Royal Society of Medicine - UK, International Society of Cardiovascular Surgery, European Society of Vascular Surgeon, European Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon, International Society of Vascular Surgery, Gulf Vascular Society, Emirates Vascular Society, and Emirates Medical Association. Her vascular experience includes traumatic vascular injuries, peripheral limb ischemia, arterial aneurysms, angio access for dialysis, varicose venous disease, deep vein thrombosis, and chronic wound management as in diabetic feet and varicose ulcers.
